After my brother, Jonathan, passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident while serving in the Army, I was devastated. We were incredibly close, and many of my fondest memories were our summers at church camp. His loss left me feeling lost and empty, leading to depression, a 100-pound weight gain, and the loss of my job as a firefighter.
Eight years later, I crossed paths with Got Your Six Coffee Co., and it changed everything. Eric not only honored my brother’s memory with a heartfelt commemoration but also helped me rebuild my life by sponsoring me to attend one of his events. During this process, he learned about my dream of becoming a fire marshal and connected me to a training event surrounded by incredible leaders—FBI agents, SWAT officers, and police captains.

"Last Thursday, I almost became a statistic. Last Thursday was going to be the last day of my life. Last Thursday I felt like I didn't belong and that all I did was mess stuff up for everyone.
Tired of not being able to focus feeling like I had let my wife down at every turn and not feeling anything anymore had grown weary on my mind. Loving my wife and children but feeling like leaving this world would end the misery I brought on everyone and the let downs seemed to be the only good option.
My wife helped me through this tough day. I went on Friday feeling like I didn't belong but I would try to work at moving forward for my family. As the day grew long and more stressful the darkness that seems to always loom in the shadows grew stronger. As I left work to pick up your guests I had already convinced myself that i was to broken to be fixed.
Until I met Tanto and Boone. While my conversation was brief with them it felt good to make such great heroes of integrity happy, see them smile, say thanks and even tell me to be proud of who I am. I never thought i would ever deserve such compliments from people of such stature.
